Chapter 1
Looking out of my room window, somewhere in the city of Lagos ,I think about my life. I wasn't born with a silver spoon. I'm not even sure I was born with any spoon at all. No, I take that back. My parents aren't poor, neither are they extremely rich. We are somewhere in the middle, if you know what I mean. Mom is the typical Yoruba woman: aggressive, loud, noisy (the full package) you know how they are. My mom is extremely spiritual; always praying and talking about deliverance and the fear of God. Dad is somewhat introverted; doesn't talk too much but he has a bad temper. So my house sometimes can be extremely loud. I always wish I wasn't the first of three kids but what can I do? My sister and brother are a pain in the ass. Serious pain, I tell you. My younger brother Jibade is a stupid, annoying 21year old that got lucky enough to bag a degree before me so he reminds me every minute that he's a Kastina corper and I'm still an undergraduate. Actually I'm in my 300L Creative Arts in the University Of Lagos. Then there's my 17year old kid sister who is even more annoying than my brother. This girl is five years younger than I am but she looks older than I am. I'm the petite one in the family(I seriously don't know where I got that trait from). She just got out of high school and has been getting crazy attention from boys and even married men, because she could pass for a 21year old, with her fine face and figure. She's the original slay queen, both online and real life, she's always slaying. You know all these Instagram hot girls with 500 likes? My sister is exactly like those girls. I'm the small 23year old sister that looks 18 lol how ironic!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay so my name is Romoke, an aspiring actress and OAP and this is my life.
